Many of the root causes of absence are beyond schools’ control. A motion at #NAHTConf called for a truly multi-agency approach to tackling issues including the impact of the pandemic, the cost-of-living crisis, mental health challenges, and gaps in provision for pupils with SEN.

Today at #NAHTconf delegates have passed a motion calling on its leadership to explore all 'legal and industrial options' in opposing Ofsted's reforms. The union lodged a claim for judicial review yesterday

I've commented below this post. It's by far and away the most contentious motion of the #NAHTConf - many regions discussed it for hours before the conference. Many heads want to get rid of performance-related pay but many others want to use UPS to control their staff. Do watch the video from 3h35m
