The #NBALottery is a joke. Tanking has never been as big of a deal as they like to pretend. This is all about getting the biggest names in the biggest markets. I feel for the smaller market teams that will never reach the #NBAFinals because of stuff like this. #NBA
The #NBALottery blows peoples minds with odds and probabilities, they are complex. If you ONLY look at the odds of top pick, it can look rigged 1:28 billion over 20 years, but each year there's a 10-15% that one of the GROUP of lower odds teams will get the #1 pick. So 5 in 11 years is expected.
Well, the #Mavs got a huge #NBALottery win. Cooper Flagg turns 19 in December, he entered college EARLY. AD is 32 with injuries, Kyrie is 33 coming off serious injury. These are not remotely the same timelines. They should trade both if they can and get as many young players as possible.

In my effort to cope w the situation I found the magic formula a few weeks ago. There is a quadratic sequence with the rule: t(n) = n^2 + 12n + 1980. For:
n=1 --> 1993 (ORL 1st pick w 1.5% chance)
n=2 --> 2008 (CHI 1st pick w 1.7% chance)
n=3 --> 2025 (DAL 1st pick w 1.8% chance)
