The rain stopped just long enough so that I could finish up this shot of emission nebulae NGC 6823 & 6820. It’s mostly made up of Hydrogen Alpha but there’s a tiny bit of Sulfur II and Oxygen III.

Breathtaking image of the open star cluster NGC 6823 in the constellation Vulpecula. The image showcases vibrant blue stars, dark gas and dust globules, and towering pillars of emission nebula NGC 6820 sculpted by stellar winds. This region is a stellar nursery, where stars are actively forming. The cluster is approximately 50 light-years across and resides 6,000 light-years away from Earth.

A stunning image of the open star cluster NGC 6823 and the emission nebula NGC 6820 in the constellation Vulpecula. Bright blue stars dominate the cluster's center, while younger stars and dramatic pillars of gas and dust are visible in the outer regions. Dark globules of gas and dust contrast sharply against the bright stars and nebulae. This image showcases the ongoing process of star formation within the cluster, which is approximately 50 light-years across and located about 6000 light-years from Earth.
