Sh2-171 – The Question Mark Nebula in Cepheus. A two-panel mosaic covering over 100 light-years of active star formation, powered by Berkeley 59 — a cluster just 2 million years old. Its O5V star BD+66 1673 burns at 45,000 Kelvin, sculpting the dark pillars visible throughout the frame […]
Stunning image of NGC 7822, a star-forming region in the Cepheus constellation, showcasing vibrant colors from the Hubble Palette. Hot young stars and cosmic pillars of gas and dust create a breathtaking display within this nebula, approximately 3,000 light-years away. The image reveals intricate details of the nebula's structure, including bright edges, dark shapes, and a light-years-wide cavity sculpted by stellar winds.

Astrophotography of NGC 7822
NGC 7822 from France, ~10hours of acquisition, the weather wasn't great, lots of humidity and light pollution but a rare occurrence of 3 clear nightsky in a row, had to try ! Managed to get this ;)

I went for #NGC7822 over two nights in SHO with my small
@TeleskopService 76mm EDPH refractor. Mono subs helped mitigate a thin veil that blanketed the sky. I had to shoot despite the high clouds as I was in complete withdrawal syndrome for lack of #Astrophotography 🔭📷
