Even after 30 years I still see or do things I'd never seen in the game before. Can't recall ever having the opportunity to deliberately check somebody, to dislodge the puck into an open net. Had a split second to react and was surprised it worked.

One thing I've learned in this game over the years, even if you think there's a 0% chance you'll score, shoot anyway. You never know. It also helps that this player, Jeff Brown, has a Shot Power rating of 90 (with 99 being max).

Wrapped up the regular season in my NHL 96 playthrough.
Despite these crazy stats, I never realized how OP the goaltending is. Only two goalies finished the season with a sub .900 save percentage: Hrudey for LA, and Irbe for San Jose.
