A stunning infrared image of the Cone Nebula captured by the Hubble Space Telescope's Near Infrared Camera and Multi-Object Spectrometer (NICMOS) after recent repairs.  The image reveals fainter stars embedded within the nebula's dust clouds, previously hidden from visible light observation. The false-color image shows a half light-year across section of the nebula, 2,500 light-years away. Four brighter stars with diffraction spikes are visible in the foreground.
