One of my colleagues used to do #NOFs on selected very elderly pts with 30mg propofol, then 70% nitrous and morphine.
Actually very smooth and stable.
Wonder if many of these were 20-30mg for positioning #nofs?
In obstetrics maybe but not for elderly #NOFs where the default should be a 22G Quincke and a hammer.

I’m in NZ & auditing Time to Theatre for our #NOFs. Still collating data but time in ED seems to be eating into the 36hr target. Does anyone have local protocols with target ED timeframes that they are willing to share? Thank you. #Orthosky #EmergencyMedicine
DHSC encouraging doctors to define #NOFs on MCCDs more in terms of ‘pathological fracture’ or ‘osteoporotic fracture’ as coroners don’t understand these are not ‘trauma’ (which requires a coroner referral) but instead ‘skeletal failure’ which is part of normal aging
