Queens woman hit with water bill totaling over $20,000. NYC DEP is upholding the charges. A Queens woman is facing a $20,000 water bill, and she says her efforts to dispute those charges have been unsuccessful.

This looks like the equipment this agency was using was busted

So they use flawed equipment that provides an inaccurate estimate and somehow an 86 yo woman is on the hook for paying for the agency’s error?
