Old City Hall Station was closed to the public in 1945. These #NYTMCollection photos were taken during the station's final year in service. 80 years later, the elegant station is only accessible to members of the #NYTransitMuseum on a guided tour.

#OnThisDay in 2021, the #NYTransitMuseum hosted the first of four days of "Retirement Runs" for the R32. Several scheduled trips were held on consecutive Sundays. Riders were invited to join the Museum for these last outings on a train model that had been part of the #NYCsubway system for 58 years.
