My second #NZIFF25 film was Stranger Eyes, filmed in Singapore - starting with the kidnapping of a baby, the focus switches to the role of surveillance and voyeurism. I mostly liked it, but found it dragged a little.

Workmates at #NZIFF25 had layers of interest. It's about a failing theatre (and love for it), filmed in an actual theatre I know quite well, written by and starring the former director of that theatre, and she sat beside me at the movie. Good thing I liked it!
My first #NZIFF25 movie was Miroirs No. 3. I don't really understand how the crash at the beginning happened, leaving Laura in the care of Betty, but I otherwise really liked this movie. There's been an obvious tragedy in Betty's family: Laura's arrival is healing all round. Who knows what's next!
