I've been burning through Martian Successor Nadesico recently. It's more subversive than the opening would make you believe, being host to the funniest mecha content I've seen. While not without serious moments, it balances out with comedy!

Finished the Goodsmile Moderoid Aestivalis 0G Battle Frame. I've wanted these for years so it was a bummer that it wasn't a fun build. Some mystifying decisions to cast black parts in grey despite having black runners and very awkward joints.
Still, the dream has come true.

Gotta say... #Nadesico is not great. And I don't get the popularity of Ruri, she's barely in the show. There are barely any themes, events happen that end up having zero impact on the overall plot, some characters feel like they're just there to have more characters, and the ending sucks. #anime
