I Jenu Kuruba erano stati sfrattati con la violenza da #Nagarhole più di 40 anni fa per fare spazio a una riserva della tigre. A maggio vi hanno fatto ritorno rivendicando i loro diritti sui villaggi ancestrali, in conformità con il #ForestRightsAct (2006).
