South Korean film star Ahn Sung-ki died at the age of 74
SEOUL: Renowned South Korean actor Ahn Sung-ki, dubbed the ‘National Actor’, died on Monday (Jan 5) at the age of 74 after a years-long battle with blood cancer. News of Ahn’s passing was confirmed by his agency, Artist Company, and Seoul-based Soonchunhyang University Hospital. Born in 1952 in Daegu, Ahn began his career as a child actor in the film The Twilight Train in 1957. He appeared in about 70 films before leaving the industry to live a normal life.
