Copper Mill, Walthamstow in late 19th cent. The earlier water mill produced linseed oil in 18th cent. Rebuilt in 1806, the mill was sold to British Copper Co in 1808 & used to roll copper for coinage tokens. It became a pumping station after 1860 sale to East London Waterworks. #NationalMillsWeekend

Walthamstow windmill was a post mill built by John Hawkes of Whitechapel, c.1676. It was demolished in early 1800s.
