Since it is National Photography Day, I decided to get out with my camera today and drive to Jenne Farm in Vermont. They close access to the farm during foliage because TikToker's ruined it for everyone, so I photographed it today with epic clouds and green fields! #nationalphotographyday
A 20+-image composite panorama in a lush green forest with an elder woman wearing black and in a red velvet cape. She is standing and the photo has the type "Wisdom Reigns". The logo of Charisa Martin Cairn's portrait work "CMC Portrait Studio" is in the lower right of the photo. Charisa focuses on elder photography. She lives in the Pacific Northwest of the United States.
Follow your heart and see where it leads. Portrait work is my heart's work. Do what you love. Love what you do -- however you can! And, as I have learned from my work with Elders: #WisdomReigns

National Photography Day, The beach scene is from 2002 Canon G1. The towels from around 2011 with Panasonic LX5, The other 2 -- one in the hallway at MOMA PS1, the other in an alley in Flagstaff Arizona, taken with iPhones -- surrealism - my goal. #photography #nationalphotographyday #surrealisim
Photo of a toddler in denim overalls and wearing an adult Stetson cowboy hat. Photo taken by Charisa Martin Cairn in the '80s, hand printed on fiber paper and hand tinted color in the 1990's.
Photo of a young girl, a redhead, wearing a denim jacket, sitting on a rough-hewn log swing. Photo taken by Charisa Martin Cairn in the '90s, hand printed on fiber paper and hand tinted color in the 1990's.
A reminder to always photograph what you love. I took these snapshots of my children with a film Canon AE-1 30+ years ago; I then printed these precious photos on fiber paper and hand tinted them in the 1990's.

On this #nationalphotographyday, I want to share that I began capturing different sights, subjects, and events on film for the first time in 17 years. With this Kodak Ultra F9 plus some 35mm film, I have enjoyed the tactile nature of capturing different moments. I can’t wait to see the results!
