The Hedderwick plantation at #BelhavenBay #EastLothian was largely flattened by #StormArwen in November 2021. The restructuring continues today - creating a much more open landscape ahead of replanting at some point - hopefully with an appropriate #nativetree mix.

Witch measures needs to be considered in order to assess an impact degree of #plantinvasion? Is non-native #speciesrichness only accurate enough?

I enjoy walking in forested areas & through trees, I have enjoyed looking at & through this unusual tree species, the Pandanus in the last month.

It's like a cabbage tree on top but with spectacular aerial stilt roots that sprout about a metre above ground.
