She's a little backlit standing between those two Ponderosa Pine trunks, but I didn't have much choice and this Mule Deer doe was willing to give me the eyes and ears pose before going back to foraging the March greens. Mule deer are known to migrate, following the "green wave" of spring vegetation as it appears. Which is good to know if you're lugging camera crap around in the mountains. Ymmv.
