Going to have to get a shufti on at #rutlandwater #parkrun tomorrow, as I'm due at a CPR training course organised by our running club at 10.30.

I should stress that this means no coffee or hanging around the car park chatting, rather than actually running any quicker. Just to be clear....!

Dancing through sleet on the dam at #rutlandwater this evening for a headtorch 5k walk/run interval session.

I'd say I was a bit mad but I passed at least three other runners out there in the dark, so it's not just me!

5 miles felt like fair effort for a visit to the wonderful Hambleton Bakery for our post-walk coffee stop 😋

Nice to have ice-free paths again, but goodness that wind was lively 😬. A proper resistance workout slogging across the dam today. Was definitely glad of a warm hat!

Absolutely baltic at #rutlandwater #parkrun this morning - but the event went ahead with nearly 300 Hardy souls braving a wind chill of -10 out on the dam.

We'll only cancel if it's too dangerous for both participants and volunteers. It's always a last resort, and we're lucky that we've not had to cancel for weather very often.

We've taken the difficult decision not to have our usual start-of-the-month pacer week at #rutlandwater #parkrun tomorrow. We already know it's going to be cold tonight and don't want any injuries from folks chasing PB's.
