Today's the day! I'll be interrogating the motif of lace in Lotfi Benyelles' Habiter Calais, arguing that the photographer subverts dominant configurations of the migrant 'guest' to weave a patchwork of imperfect French hospitality. Proud of this one! #Nemla2023 @northeastMLA
