We visited Britain 12 years ago. The fish and chips we had in Paddington were utterly uninspiring - worse than anything I'd had in Australia, & just not on the same scorecard as the NZ product.

Top tip: buy a neep next week already and keep it in the hoose to soften...
To anyone still counting the emotional and physical cost after carving #neeps this year, my top tip is to buy them about a week before you need them, keep them indoors, they'll soften ever so slightly and be much easier to work with - but still look the business!
