We’re excited to see that DCR’s contractors have started paving part of the Dorchester #NeponsetTrail extension! Note the Victory Rd sidewalk is on the opposite side of the trail, which will be much wider.

In the long term, expect to see increased flooding along the #NeponsetTrail at Cedar Grove and Tenean Beach. And stay tuned for Morrissey Boulevard updates that plan to address flooding along that corridor.

We pressed MassDCR to ensure that pedestrian access remains open along Conley Street while the Dorchester #NeponsetTrail extension is built. They have confirmed that the trail will remain open and have built a temporary sidewalk. Here are views from July 22:

The family route followed the trail to the beach, the intermediate ride visited three food forests and the advanced route highlighted planned bikeways to the Blue Hills.
