One of the small gardens in Neuf Brisach. I love how the historical fortifications are simply used as a storage unit and a flower bed backdrop. The sky is cloudy but varied; the plants display various colours, mostly yellow and pink flowers in great abundance.
Architectural detail - Café Marcel name on a moss-overgrown concrete.
Freiburg im Breisgau - one of the famous city gates with tram lines going through it. The centre is pedestrianised, the gates form natural borders for the car traffic. The left tower is decorative in Schwarzwald style, seven or eight stories tall. The right one is squat and bulky, four stories tall, with McDonald's inside (and with the name on the façade). There's tram lines going through each.
Freiburg im Breisgau - one of the famous city gates with tram lines going through it. The centre is pedestrianised, the gates form natural borders for the car traffic. The left tower resembles a traditional Schwarzwald wood-framed house. The right one is twice as high, with a clock on it, reminiscent of a town hall tower.
First day of the June trip - #Freiburg and #NeufBrisach. (Oh, yes, and 900 km driven in an #EV #Kia #EV6 in one day - I 🖤 the main issue with that was who's going to be my second driver. Charging was a non-issue.)
