Major Canadian landmarks will be lit up yellow tomorrow for motionball's #NoGoodWay Day, a campaign encouraging more inclusive language when speaking about people with intellectual disabilities. The CN Tower, Niagara Falls, ByWard Market and more will participate www.thestar.com/sports/motio...
Please consider taking the pledge to end the use of the R-Word in everyday conversation, because there is #nogoodway

This is my sister Sarah when she was 1. Now 27, she still likes to make raspberries & make me laugh. But her DS is a visible disability, so she is underestimated and discriminated. It pains me when people use the R-word. There is #NoGoodWay to use that word in everyday conversation!

Just because you made a chart about it doesn't mean it doesn't hurt people. There is #nogoodway to say that word. Even when you use it about yourself or other people.

Today is #NoGoodWay Day, a day to remember that people with disabilities are just as worthy of love and respect as anyone else, and a constant reminder that we all must refrain from using the r word and call out others when they do. There is #NoGoodWay to use the r word.
Two young women in motionball t-shirts cheer. Text on the image says use your voice. Make the choice. There’s no good way to use the r-word”
Join us as we celebrate 10 years of #NoGoodWay, motionball’s anti-bullying campaign in support of Special Olympics athletes and all those living with intellectual disabilities. motionball.com/nogoodway 🇨🇦💛
We started the #NoGoodWay campaign when our friends in the Special Olympics community asked for help getting people to choose not to use the r-word (in the vid for clarity!).
