Photo from across the street of some of the fifteen people who gathered at Danielle Smith’s Medicine Hat MLA’s office today. Most are holding and waving Canadian flags. One person is holding a sign reading “Beyondalberta Protect our Water” another holding a sign reading “Smith Deliberately Ignoring 404 293 Signatures” with the Forever Canadian logo.

A bit warmer today as a few (15) of us gathered at Danielle Smith’s MLA office in Medicine Hat. We came to remind her what being part of Canada and being Canadian means. Shout out to the #NoKings rallies.

Photo of the Forever Canadian logo. A stylized large red maple leaf on a white background. The words “Forever Canadian” in black lettering, below it, except for the letter “V”. The letter V is in larger font and coloured red like the leaf. It’s centred under the leaf and forms the leaf stem. Out of the top of the V are red and white flames reaching into the lower part of the leaf, like a lit torch.

Photo of the twenty two people lined up along thirteeth avenue in Medicine Hat at the rally. One person holding a hockey stick with a sign attached that reads: “Put Out The Fire, Say No To Danielle Smith", other people with signs which read: “Hate Has No Home Here” it’s done in LGBTQ1A2S+ theme and colours; “Everyone is welcome in my Alberta”; a banner reading Corrupt UCP and further along many people holding Canadian flags, with one holding a Pride flag.

Closer photo of the person holding the Everyone is Welcome in my Alberta sign. There is more lettering visible on the Corrupt UCP banner that reads “Where is the Justice” and "Recall, Restart and Rebuild”. In the upper right corner is part of the Pride Flag, which fluttered into the frame as I took the photo. Two people can be seen in the background holding small Canadian flags and a Canadian themed umbrella.

This photo is at the end of the line up. It shows one person sitting on a mobility cart holding and waving a Canadian flag and six others doing the same.

Photo of one of our group holding my sign while I take the photo. It reads: Listen Up UCP! No APP! No ASPS! No to Separation! No Private Healthcare! NO means NO! to highlight the wording I used Emojis of the Canadian Flag above No App referring to the UCP idea of replacing the Canada Pension Plan with an Alberta Pension Plan; Emojis of a left and right ear for the UCP to listen with and a police car emoji above No ASPS referring to the UCP wanting to replace the RCMP with an Alberta Sheriffs Police Service. This would cost exorbitantly more and the undertrained members of the ASPS would not be as effective.

Once again we were out in the rainy/snowy cold spring weather. Showing our allegiance to Canada, support for #LGBTQIA2S+ rights and highlighting the bad governance of Danielle Smith and her MLAs.

Photo of a white poster with black lettering and the words “Smith Deliberately Ignoring Forever Canadian Four hundred and Four thousand, two hundred and ninety three signatures!” There is also the stylized red maple leaf logo used by the Forever Canadian campaigners. 404 293 represents the total certified signatures gathered during the signing period far exceeding the requirement to be tabled in the legislature and brought to a referendum. Smith tried to say the proponent pulled it from a referendum. This is a lie, she is ignoring it to let the Separatist referendum go ahead if they get the required signatures. The Forever Canadian referendum would have stopped the Separatist one from going ahead.

Photo of a rally poster that reads: Listen Up UCP! No APP! No ASPS No to Separation! No Private Healthcare! No means No!. The sign also includes emojis of a Canadian flag over the words No APP; a left and right Ear to highlight the UCP should start listening with both ears; a police car emoji over the words No ASPS, referring to the UCPs idea of replacing the RCMP with an Alberta Sheriffs Police Service. The poster has a white background with large black lettering, except the words “NO”, which is in red lettering. UCP is done in blue lettering indicating the Conservative party colour. APP represents the Alberta Pension Plan which the UCP wants to replace our Canada Pension Plan with. It would be underfunded and poorly run. The existing Canada Pension Plan is on of the best managed pension plans in the world.

A word of advice for people trying to subvert the rights of the public through the courts:
If your lawyer says “I don’t understand why it’s a problem asking the question” then get a new lawyer.

BUT THE PEOPLE ARE FIGHTING BACK!!!

Constituents in CLHD are saying #notoseparation. Look!

We want an MLA that will fight for healthcare and education. Not one that will advocate for separation.

A crowded protest of First Nations people looking towards the parade of Chiefs wearing head dresses and carrying large white flags. Four women wear brightly coloured circle skirts with decorative bands of shiny ribbons in many colours. Every colour is reflected back against the pond of water in front of them. Signs of protest are carried. One we can read says, Treaty is with the crown not with Alberta.

Standing side by side with Indigenous & First Nations communities. Treaties are living covenants, not political tokens. Alberta's separation threatens unity and the spirit of this land. We must not fracture what was never ours to divide. #Indigenous #CanadaUnity #TreatyRights #NoToSeparation

Albertans 'crushed' by Liberal election win rally to separate from Canada | CBC News Hundreds of people rallied at the Alberta Legislature Saturday to support separation from Canada, with many in the crowd waving Alberta flags and a few even displaying the U.S. Stars and Stripes.

The real threat isn’t outside—it’s the separatists among us trying to tear Alberta from Canada. #UnitedCanada #NoToSeparation #AlbertaStrong

A digital image made to resemble a traditional framed cross-stitch embroidery. The fabric background is cream-colored with a visible weave, and the text is stitched in bold red capital letters. It reads:

“I AM CANADIAN. I DESIRE TO BE NOTHING ELSE.”

The message is centered within a symmetrical floral border. Delicate pink and peach flowers with green stems and leaves form a rectangular garland around the text, accented with four bold red maple leaves in each corner. The entire piece is framed in a simple, light brown wooden frame.

The aesthetic evokes nostalgia, home, and national pride, juxtaposing gentle domestic craft with a defiant political statement against Alberta separatism. The tone is quiet but firm—asserting Canadian identity as deeply rooted and unwavering.

Some things don’t need to be shouted.
They’re stitched into who we are. 🇨🇦

This isn’t just sentiment.
It’s resolve.

I am Canadian.
I desire to be nothing else.
