🎄
Hilarious! I was thinking earlier today:
LADY ON A TRAIN (1945)
Is definitely not a "Noir" one ought to recommend to a newbie; as I recollected a prompt from Kari's @ladykdesigns.bsky.social 's #NoirvemberChallenge

So many…thought about DETOUR, CRISS CROSS, GUN CRAZY, SCARLET STREET and more. But today picked SUNSET BOULEVARD.
Thank you @ladykdesigns.bsky.social for a great first time #NoirvemberChallenge experience.

There are so many great endings, but the ending of Scarlet Street really blew me away. It’s so incredibly bleak and an unusual way to meet the requirement of punishing the wrongdoers.
Thank you! I look forward to the #NoirvemberChallenge every year. Now to deal with Christmas...

Favorite noir ending?
Neff: Know why you couldn’t figure this one, Keyes? I’ll tell you. Because the guy you were looking for was too close. Right across the desk from you.
Keyes: Closer than that, Walter.
Huge thanks to everyone who joined the 2025 #NoirvemberChallenge!
You made this the best yet. I'm so grateful for the creativity, discussion, and #filmnoir picks everyone shared. This community is truly the best, and you know your #filmnoir!
Keep watching and staying in touch, till next year...
Day 30 of the #NoirvemberChallenge 2025 by @ladykdesigns.bsky.social - Best #FilmNoir Ending...
It's been a great month celebrating all things noir and this challenge has been real fun to take part in. I would like to end where I started with Night and the City (1950)

Here we are, the final day of #Noirvember 😓
Time to end things on a high note. Well, kinda. I LOVE a good downer ending and Michael Curtiz delivered that in spades.

With so many great conclusions to choose from I'll go with the film that arguably gave the classic era a poetic and appropriate sendoff: TOUCH OF EVIL.

As we all share recommendations it would be fun to see everyone’s picks!
Alas #Noirvember & the #NoirvemberChallenge are both coming to an end because nothing lasts forever…

30. #FilmNoir ending:
Lizabeth Scott’s quiet final moments in Dead Reckoning (1947). Bogie’s last words to her as she closes her eyes: “Geronimo, Mike.”
Fabulous #Noirvember challenge, as always, @LadyKdesigns! Thank you for hosting!
Detective Tom Polhaus: [picks up the falcon] Heavy. What is it? Sam Spade: The, uh, stuff that dreams are made of.
