A black-patched clepsis moth on a leaf. The leaf covers about two-thirds of the photo from the left side inward. The moth is on the outside of the left facing up. It is mostly a cream color, but with a long black patch on each wing and a couple lighter black spots toward the bottom. It almost looks like a burnt piece of wood. There is a white patch with a black dot in the middle of it on the thorax .The head is slight darker than the wings with antennae sticking out to the sides.

A forest tent caterpillar on a leaf. The caterpillar is facing left and is the middle of three green leaves. The caterpillar is black, with white spots all the way down its body length. There is also a blue stripe on the outside of both sides of its body, and a thin brown stripe above that. In addition to the white spots, there are numerous blue spots surrounding the white. It has yellowish setae.

A tawny emperor butterfly on the ground. It is standing amount some small rocks. In the background are scattered blades of grass. The butterfly is mostly various shades of brown. The hindwing is a light almost greyish brown near the body with a couple light tan spots. A light tan band runs down the middle, followed by a darker brown line with tiny white spots, then a line of yellow-orange, and two thin lines of brown with a thin line of light tan in the middle of those. The outer edge has white crescents. The forewing has mostly yellow-orange markings near the body with a little bit of light brown thrown in. There are three separate brown lines running through the yellow-orange, then a couple reddish orange lines. At the far end are a couple of dark brown, almost black lines, with a greyish line between them. At the edge of that are some white crescents, a thick dark brown or black line, and more white crescents at the outer edge. The head is also brown with a couple small white spots and a long pair of antennae with yellowish tips.
