Northern gardeners (Zones 3–6):
If you want big onion bulbs, plant long-day onions.
They bulb with 14–16 hours of daylight.
Short-day onions grow tall tops, but won’t form full bulbs this far north.

Day 2 tilling. I've done maybe 300 sqft, maybe 400. Wheelbarrowed fertility for a third of that from the animal area. Can't remember my total tillable sqft but it's several thousands. I plan on doing this mostly daily until the beginning of June (last frost). 🌱 #DisabledGardener #NorthernGardener
Got the greenhouse cleaned up this morning and potted up my bare root perennials. It was GLORIOUS in there! +30c, the vents wide open and the snow outside melting! 🌱 #northerngardener #northernbc #greenhouse #letsgetgrowing

Are there any short season or cold winter garden feeds here? I know this is the quiet time of year for them.
