A pastel painting of the monumental RC Cambridge church known as OLEM seen from the grounds of Downing College. This was sold but I can't remember when or to whom.

Another #pastel from the year after the previous posting showing the view from #DowningCollege across to the Gothic Revival Church of Our Lady of the Assumption and the English Martyrs, still listed as the tallest building in Cambridge (known as #OLEM). I used to walk past it every day.

OLEM, a grade 1 listed building and the tallest in Cambridge, seen in this pastel of mine from the grounds of Downing College 1999 (a commission). Much of the endowment for this RC church came from Pauline Duvenay, a famous 19th Century French dancer.
