It was both boo'd, & received a standing ovation, at Cannes. While not NWR's best film, it is an intriguing addition to his canon, visually stylish as one would expect. Gosling, of course, performs excellently, even with only 17 lines of dialogue.

Slow-burn, neo-noir pulp flick. The second film between Gosling & Nicolas Winding Refn, certainly goes in to more "out-there" territories than 2011's 'Drive'. It is one to divide opinion in an audience.
