80 years ago today my Grandpa set sail for home on the MS John Ericsson! He received a #SeaweedGazette each day he sailed that kept them updated with news, fun facts, and activities. The #RedCross "Doughnut Dollies" were among the crowd at the pier that saw them off.

Now for the shipping news... At least, to date, no changes have been made, except that the 115th will not sail on the SS John Ericsson but will board Liberty ships instead. I don't care about that - just any boat suits me - even if it's only a row boat....
