Our #LunaTwins are positioned comfortably in #OrionESM atop @NASA_SLS ... ready to embark on their mission. Next launch attempt is scheduled for this Saturday, 3 September.๐ #WeAreGoing
Following the launch โ currently scheduled for 14:33 CEST โ @NASA_Orion will separate & proceed on an outbound trajectory propelled by the European Service Module. The journey will last 42 days, during which #OrionESM & the #LunaTwins will orbit the Moon several times. ๐๐
โ๏ธOur #LunaTwins are waiting patiently in #OrionESM atop @NASA_SLS on launch pad 39B at @NASAKennedy.
Soon the twin mannequins from @DLR_de & @ILSpaceAgency will journey #ForwardToTheMoon and become the very first space radiation experiment to leave Earth orbit. ๐๐
