This was maybe the best film I saw in my #OscarsDeathRace run that I wouldn't otherwise have sought out.
Utter tearjerker. Seeing love, confident unadulterated love, even in the inevitability of grief.
This should have been mawkish but I loved it.

Finished up this year’s #OscarsDeathRace tonight with Better Man and Memoir of a Snail. Surprisingly enjoyed bits of Better Man–especially the scene transitions. On the flip side, I think 🐌 had me crying for something like 60 out of the 95 mins. Loved the art, too. Still thinking about my own cages.

It took approximately two minutes to understand why Kieran Culkin is the favorite to win Best Supporting Actor. He's excellent.
But I'm also shocked that this movie didn't get a nod for Cinematography.

Dune Part II was better than Part I, but I am 100% not these films’ target audience. Sci-fi has never been a favorite genre of mine, and as well-made as these movies are, they didn’t change that.
