Another busy day at reserve #SavisWarbler again we urge all visitors to respect neighbours, #Otmoor lane is very narrow with limited passing places. Park in marked areas, very limited parking. Pay for parking ๐. Keep the damage to banks to absolute minimum. Thank you. Enjoy.
The reserve has been busy over the winter. Better viewing points. Will promote new growth which will encourage more insects. #Otmoor #Coppicing #Wildlife
As the #Starling #Murmuration gathers pace & volume, please be aware the reserve has very limited parking. Please do
Not park on the lane. You may have to arrive very early to find a spot to park & view this mesmerising sight. Please be respectful of the neighbours, be that human or animal. #Otmoor
This young #Cuckoo (being fed by Reed Warblers) was a highlight yesterday evening at RSPB #Otmoor. Plus a flock of 24 Cattle Egret, a confiding Cetti's Warbler, female Ruddy Shelduck, mating Brown Hawkers too. Fab.
Excellent @curlewrecovery field meeting at #Otmoor today with David Wilding and @mike_shurmer. No shortage of Curlews plus a couple of Cranes and flyover by White Stork. Lots of new connections made & sharing of experience. @curlewcalls @louis_phipps @NEThamesSolent

So apparently today it's the turn of the Marsh Fritillary in #FebruaryButterflyMonth. Here's one from #Extremadura, SW Spain last year.
Sadly lost from Oxfordshire, though @UpperThamesBC amongst many others are working on a reintroduction at #RSPB #Otmoor.
