A Muslim friend of mine who is an NHS nurse manager told me this evening that they are considering moving back to the motherland. They were born here, and he heard the racism all his life, but he doesn't want to listen to it anymore. He had had enough and was looking for an exit.

I have taken my mother for a blood test just now at the surgery following this morning appointment with the GP. The staff was speaking in Somali so once I didn't had to translate and it brought a smile on my mother’s face too ☺️.
