4 small mugs reproduced from an archeological find dating back to the Norse period in northern Europe. Made out of a sandy red clay that fires a light tan colour, they are glazed in a yellow glaze leaving parts of the exterior unglazed. The unusual handles are hand built, almost art deco looking with their round loop and slanted thumb rest.

Large shallow bowl painted in cobalt blue slip carved through to the white clay in a mandala pattern, leaving a white 6 pointed star blank in the middle of the bottom. Photo taken while the bowl was still in the kiln immediately after glaze firing.
