One last apple painting. This time I did my own set-up and tried to paint it pretty closely to Cezanne's style. Sort of! His brush strokes are more blended than I usually leave my pastel marks.

Another attempt to take Cezanne's color/strokes in one of his landscapes, and paint from my own photo. 8" x 6" on Pastelmat. Did this in the open studio of Tucson Pastel Society. Not very successful study, imo.

Spril 6. No. 187. #pswc10in10 Studying Cezanne. This is playing with his landscapes, view from our front window, last fall 6 x 8 on Sanguine Pastelmat, Great Americans mostly. Added my inspiration painting. His foreground is town, but mine is all trees, so I used smaller "brush strokes"

#pswc10in10 4th in my study of Cezanne apples. For this I slightly distorted the bowl to get a more overhead view. His theorizing was , simplistically,that humans are aware of all angles and perspectives at once.

Here's another little piece. I just did as part of the #PSWC10In10 challenge. We are challenged to paint and post 10 high key paintings in 10 days. I am using little scraps of paper to do it and having fun playing around with a high key pallete. Show me your high key paintings!
