My #PTFCoriginstory is I never watched a single soccer game until Branden showed up in my life. Now almost 20 years later we’ve watched every game, many (most) from the stands, since 2007. Love this stupid but awesome team.

#PTFCOriginStory is from the field side. I'm running down the field and I see Timber Jim on the sideline running with a running chainsaw above his head. I was shocked and awed. The Army chanted "Blue Bastard" at me after I called a PK against them to tie the game in the 85th. Respect.

My #PTFCoriginstory is I was a #USMNT superfan & married to a National Referee, @dougjotzke.bsky.social. He forgot to block his referee schedule for our 10th wedding anniversary and got sent to referee the Timbers on 5/28/05. I was so angry to be watching soccer on a baseball diamond on our day...

I went to games back in the USL era. I left to study in NYC and was there when they moved up to MLS. When I moved to Seattle for my postdoc, I went searching for fellow Timbers fans and gathered them together so we could thrive behind enemy lines (and I could have friends). #PTFCOriginStory #RCTID

I moved to Portland in March of 2011. It just happened to be the month the Timbers first began playing in MLS. I didn't have a favorite soccer team then so I thought it would be the perfect time to start following. Had no idea how in love I'd be with the team and city. #PTFCOriginStory

My #PTFCoriginstory starts with the Portland Pride and the 2002 and 2005 UP Women's soccer teams. Those teams opened my eyes to soccer. I wouldn't have witnessed the first Sunshine Goal, the Sunflower Goal, the Wonder Goal, or the Western Conference Championship without having that history. #RCTID

Group up in South Carolina as the weird kid who fell in love with soccer at the 94 World Cup. Lived in that soccer desert until moving to Portland where the USL Timbers looked like a local version of passionate soccer fans across the world. Been a fan ever since #PTFCOriginStory #RCTID

Went to a few games here and there when Timbers joined MLS. Then, I lucked into getting TA tickets for the 2013 playoff game against the flounders. I was hooked. Been to most of the games since. #PTFCOriginStory #RCTID

I was newly dating a guy obsessed with Timbers. Grew up in small town MT-we didn’t do soccer-even turned down a date to the double post match. Spring ‘16 I saw my first football match at the tippy top of 204. Arrived during the national anthem-enough said. 😁
