This painting emerges from a search for balance within emotional flux. Curved and angular forms drift through layered blues, interrupted by a single warm accent - like feeling surfacing within depression. Structure offers momentary order, yet nothing remains fixed. Stillness and movement coexist, forming an intuitive map of mood shaped by chance, vulnerability, and quiet intention. An abstract painting made of overlapping rectangles and squares in shades of blue, white, and gray. A large, hand-drawn circle sits at the center, slightly rough and layered over the shapes beneath it. On the left side of the circle, a small area of warm orange stands out sharply against the cool colors. Visible brushstrokes give the surface a textured, human feel.

One of my old paintings from many moons ago. It's hard to believe it's been over 3 decades since I painted this. The memory is so fresh I can smell the paint and it evokes the nostalgia of when my oldest kids were still hanging on to my skirts.
