Engineer and architect Julia Morgan conjured up beauty at our Sausalito Woman's Club. The Club held its first meeting in the new clubhouse 20 September 1918. Expansion was in 1923, with Julia Morgan again designed and supervised construction.

Marinship Corporation was a shipbuilding company during WW II, created to build ships required for war effort. Founded in 1942, it built 93 cargo ships and oil tankers, ceased operations after end of war.

Creator of award winning 'The Moving Finger,' Larry Moyer, US Army WWII Veteran, was the “King” of the Sausalito waterfront. If he was for it, then it had to be good. His door was never closed to anyone.
