Hubble Space Telescope image of N159, a star-forming region in the Large Magellanic Cloud, 170,000 light-years away. The image showcases bright newborn stars, dark dust filaments, and red glowing hydrogen gas. The central feature is the Papillon Nebula (Butterfly Nebula), a compact bipolar cloud of unknown origin, possibly indicating unseen high-mass stars and a thick gaseous disk. The nebula spans over 150 light-years.
