Una nuova analisi dell'ESO conferma che gravi danni sarebbero causati dal complesso industriale pianificato vicino al Paranal Un'analisi tecnica approfondita dell'ESO (European Southern Observatory) ha valutato l'impatto del megaprogetto INNA sugli strumenti dell'Osservatorio del Paranal, in Cile, e i risultati sono allarmanti. L'analisi rivela che l'INNA aumenterebbe l'inquinamento luminoso sopra il VLT (Very Large Telescope) di almeno il 35% e di oltre il 50% sopra il sito sud del Cherenkov Telescope Array Observatory (CTAO-sud). L'INNA aumenterebbe anche la turbolenza dell'aria nell'area, degradando ulteriormente le condizioni per le osservazioni astronomiche, mentre le vibrazioni del progetto potrebbero compromettere seriamente il funzionamento di alcune delle strutture dell'Osservatorio del Paranata, come l'ELT (Extremely Large Telescope).
