The #ParisCommune was created on #ThisDayInHistory in 1871, when guardsmen rejected the #ThirdRepublic's legitimacy and created an alternative. In its two-month existence, the #Communards formed a hybrid system with #socialist, #anarchist, #feminist, and #anticlerical elements.
