During China's #CulturalRevolution, #ThisDayInHistory in 1967, the #ShanghaiPeoplesCommune was formed, inspired by the #ParisCommune. Initially backed by #MaoZedong, he withdrew support when it called for #democratic elections and an end to #CPC domination and state #capitalism.
