This week’s featured patient is a young Desert Cottontail that was admitted to Greenwood after their nest was ransacked by a free-roaming cat. Under our care, they made a full recovery and returned to their natural home!

This baby rabbit was attacked by a cat. Protect vulnerable bunnies: keep pets contained, especially at dawn/dusk.

A Spotted Towhee landed at Greenwood after flying into a clear, glass sliding door. Once fully healed and cleared by our team of veterinarians, they will be released back to their natural home.

Every year, millions of birds fall victim to window collisions. Some are able to fly away, but others, like our Cedar Waxwing, need supportive care to recover from the trauma. We hope this beautiful boy can return home soon.

Our #PatientoftheWeek is a Woodrat. Did you know that woodrats are often called packrats? This nickname comes from the rodents’ tendency to pick up unusual items in their habitat (shiny items are their favorite) and “pack” it back to their den.
