Hal Roach brought Patsy Kelly to Hollywood in 1933 to replace ZaSu Pitts as Thelma Todd's co-star in comedy shorts. She graduated to play wisecracking best friends in feature films. Her career lasted into the 1970s, including Broadway and Rosemary's Baby.
