Working on my Renegade Nell #PbtA, I'm aiming for a Brindlewood Bay style, but everything focused on the monster the PCs are facing. They collect evidence from incident scenes, witnesses and skirmishes with the monster to define it's form and behaviour, including strengths and weaknesses. #ttrpg

My current #ttrpg obsession is making a #PbtA inspired by Renegade Nell, the Disney+ series from 2024. I didn't want to be making this, but the idea fermented in my subconconscious and forced it's way out.
A great week of gaming came together: I played Pasión de las Pasiones on Tuesday, Star Trek: Away Missions on Wednesday, and Planet of the Week on Thursday (my first time as a player!) then I GMed a PotW one shot on Friday. Whew! #TTRPG #PbtA #StarTrek

It's as if a couple of weeks ago someone finally wired my brain circuit to fit the PbtA move-writing schematic and at last I'm writing moves that truly feel, read & work like decent PbtA moves *while also carrying* the Homeric themes & mood I've been struggling for!

I have been playing #pf2e for the first time and it is definitely weighted more towards number goes up. Where a game like #pbta your numbers fluctuate but don't go up as much as you u lock more moves.
I'm writing a #PbtA game inspired by a cancelled Disney+ series which doesn't narrow it down much, does it? 🤣
