Azem is more like an ancestor to Theo and the others, and definitely a sort of “unifying force” amongst them.
But the 5 of them are completely unique individuals despite all having at least one shard of Azem. They each take different strengths from the Echo.

Theo was born and raised in Ishgard, but his mother is originally from Doma.
He never got to visit or hear much about her homeland, so he’s been very fascinated with Doman/Far Eastern culture as a way to feel closer to her. He loves visiting, and was proud to aid in its liberation.

He’s gotten a bit better at it, but Theo is a very emotionally closed off person and often keeps his thoughts to himself.
He tries to do a lot of things on his own and often treats himself as a tool / meat shield. He almost has a textbook martyr complex.

For the most part, my boys do. They do have traits and skills that carry over from their main jobs into any other job.
Ex: Theo’s main is Dragoon. But even when he’s doing Gunbreaker or Machinist, he’s extremely fast and agile, and is able to use some jumps and draconic abilities.
