The #PeatColours project continues to grow. We now have a new site in the Netherlands (Fochteloërveen) and will soon have a site in the southern hemisphere (Chile)
The interactive map has had a make over to include #peatland type and you can see the photos here

That’s fantastic! My favourite of our restoration sites from the last Lost Peatlands project. Awesome that someone is engaging with the site and the #PeatColours project so regularly. I’ll tel the rest of the project team when we’re back in work
A member of the public took a photo of the #peatland at Castell Nos in Wales 🏴 every Sunday this year and even sent me this video he made!
I really love how people have embraced #PeatColours across the world
Time for a #PeatColours wrap-up!
Since 2023: 2100+ photos
📍3 new sites (Clough Moor, Cors Fochno, Killarney)
🐶 14 bog dogs
🤳 30+ selfies.
Thanks to everyone sending in pics - the peatlands, as always, looked amazing.

Can't use it for any colour analysis obviously but the Australian 🇦🇺 #PeatColours site up on the Bogong High Plains is looking so crisp in the snow!
(I don't always like to wish time away but I am envious of some cooler weather...!)

Busy Saturday at the @rspbscotland.bsky.social Forsinard Flows-we had 12 photos come through as part of the Tracking the Colour of Peatlands citizen science project.
Very useful when multiple people send photos from different phones on same day - can use it to calibrate the analysis
