In yellow, white, and dark and light blues, a colorful post portrays nonviolent solutions for schools, such as anti-bullying, peer mediation, and restorative justice. A short example reads: A Peer Mediation program on the island of Jersey, United Kingdom, is building young people’s capacity to handle conflicts among their friends, family, and fellow students. The program uses role-playing and fun activities to foster social-emotional learning, peacebuilding, and conflict resolution skills. In under five years, it has trained 1700 students and been adopted in 17 schools–around half of all the schools on the island.
