She's entirely too trusting, so to see her hit her threshold for BS and take action, even if it is petty and comical, is awesome! Her pranks against Vaughn are rather innocuous but effective. His reaction to it all is perfection. The not-so-fake fake dating is cute, and their chemistry is terrific! Despite the things that go awry, I like them as a couple. They're sweet, without being too sweet, and steamy. Their dates are just... 🫠 - especially when he takes her to meet Sara. 🦥 Meemaw adds a ton of color. That woman is a trip! That's the kind of grandma I hope to one day be like. (Lord, help my family!) 🤣 I read along with the audio book. The narrators, Lee Samuels and Samantha Summers, were great. The double entendres are omnipresent, as is expected from Penelope Bloom, as well as plenty of crazy antics. It was a fun adventure with these two. -- Book quote “The dick sculptor? I actually prefer the title of cockitecht.” -- Nell Snell As I expected, there are cameos from several prior books, lightly tying them together. Prior reading isn't necessary, but you may appreciate the relationships a bit more if you do. They definitely add more color to the mix. 😆 I read along with the audio book. The narrators, Alexander Cendese and CJ Bloom, keep things light and entertaining as they lend voices to these zany characters. Story: 4 stars Narration: 4 stars Listening Speed: 1.8x

(Book review) >You're Supposed to Say Yes< Peter Barnidge and Violet Browning are like gasoline and a lit match, ready to combust at the drop of said match. It's fun to watch it all unfold. The way she handles the divulging of her "secret" made me sad and a little mad. She doesn't owe anyone that she's not in a serious relationship with that information. Personal information is just that and a trip into bed doesn't make it a personal relationship if you ask me, especially with the newness and uncertainties around it. This aside, I like just about everything else, including how fast he falls once his walls lose a brick. 😉 -- Book quote 'Do not touch. Do not admire. Do not even think about it, Violet, because he's so far out of your league you couldn't even get nosebleed tickets to his fan club.' -- Violet Browning I love the cameos from earlier books (prior reading is not required). I also love and hate the various antics. Still, that didn't keep me from laughing at them. Good, bad, and ugly are good ways to describe them. 😄🫣🙃 There is some payback that is to be had. I like how that all plays out. Revenge is a dish best served. Yep, that's it. It gets served. (I'm laughing at my own joke that many may not get without reading; sorry.) I borrowed the audio book. The narrators are CJ Bloom and Alexander Cendese. I like them for their primary characters. They deliver plenty of attitude which is exactly what these characters have and deserve. 💚🎧💚 Story: 4 stars Narration: 3.5 stars Listening Speed: 1.8x
