One of these days, I'll have to write up the conceptual framework I use to teach #scicomm (focusing on the cross-disciplinary comms needed for collabs, funding, public engagement). It's an embedded, enactive, embodied approach that frames academic comms settings as affordances.
#philscicomm
We are sunsetting #philscicomm as it's no longer affordable for us to keep the domain going. Archiving it on the Internet Archives. A text version will also exist on Github (soon).
Corralling scattered writings across multiple platforms- big and small- into future-proofy .md .pdf formats. As I clean them up, I'll be pushing .md files via #mataroa API to drlynnchiu.mataroa.blog as my "online digital garden" (for now). Going through 2019 #PhilSciComm stuff first!
A very driven master's student (in bio & phil) contacted me (and many others) to talk about how they could evaluate & test out #scicomm as a career path.
Relieved to hear that they thought that our #PhilSciComm (www.philscicomm.com) site was useful (glad I'm still paying for the domain).
So grateful that under Austrian and UniVienna laws, I can work a few hours a week during my maternity leave 100% from home. This gives me some breathing space to think deeply about my work. Back to thinking about #philscicomm and university comms!
